The Esposito Spray Department is a local family-run business. We have serviced lawn and shrubs for customers for nearly 35 years. Our technicians have many years of experience and are very knowledgeable in diagnosing and tailoring the needs of your lawn. Our team of technicians are mentored and trained by our senior technicians Clyde Brown . Our team has a combined 50 years in the lawn industry. In addition to superior lawn care and management, our department manager, Sheila Gmeiner, is a horticulturist and shrub expert with over 40 years in the industry. We have the best team of industry professionals to perform your lawn and ornamental pest control and fertilization service.
The spray department provides customers with a scheduled, reliable and proven program that occurs 5 times every 2.5 months. In addition, we encourage our customers to contact us between rounds to make sure any potential problems are addressed. We also generate customer action sheets to track our response time and execution. Currently, we are doing weed pre-emergent and weed post-emergent applications and insect control for lawns. Horticultural Oil is used for the majority of shrubs this time of year.
Is there a “Best Time” to begin a spray schedule?
Begin the spray department program when you are ready to let us handle your lawn and shrub challenges! Early spring is a good time for being proactive and getting ahead of summer weeds and lawn issues. Our spray department does residential, commercial, HOA’s and private properties.
What if I don’t live in the city of Tallahassee?
The Esposito Spray Department services a large geographic area, from neighboring South Georgia counties all the way to Panacea! We’re well equipped and responsive for our Big Bend areas.
What types of lawns does your spray department service? Do I have to have a specific type of grass?
We manage and provide services for all of the 3 primary types of lawns—Centipede, St. Augustine, and Zoysia. Accordingly, our technicians use the appropriate materials for each type of lawn to achieve the best results for the lawn and to meet your expectations.
How do I schedule an appointment with the spray department?
You can schedule an appointment for an estimate by phone, website, or filling out an Esposito Garden Services form in the Garden Center. When you call our office, you speak to Ronnie McThay, a former spray technician, that understands the business and challenges in our natural world and industry.
Do I need to be present during the estimation process?
You do not have to be present for an estimate. However, if you would like to be present, our spray department can schedule the estimate based on your availability. We will come to your property and measure and map out the areas to be considered. We then prepare a detailed summary and estimate of our program for your review. Cultural notes (extensive shade or poor drainage) are included if they would impact your lawn’s or shrubs’ health and vigor.
